Meta35: metadata for film cameras

Posted on 2015/06/15 21:13 by | Edit

Promote Systems has introduced its new Meta35 product, which allow certain compatible film cameras to be connected to a laptop for metadata transfer. Supported film cameras include:
  • Canon EOS 1V,
  • Nikon F5, F6, F100, N90 and N90s
  • Minolta 7 and 9

Meta35 works by connecting a compatible camera with a laptop using the Meta35 cable and dongle. Additional information can be manually added to the metadata, which can then be synced to scanned and loaded images from the camera. Meta35 is available for Windows 7 and higher and Apple's OS X 10.9 and higher.

Not certain how it works with the Minolta 7 and 9 as it requires DS-100 (7) and DM-9 (9).

Meta35 is available via the company's online store for $149 USD with a $5 flat shipping rate in the United States. International shipping is also available.
